Other Yong Chun Cranes
There are to my knowlege 4 groups practicing in yong chun.
All four are shown doing a form in the video clip below. The four are:
Ong Gong Shr Whu Shu Guan ( first in the demo below )
The lineage that we train. This is an extended group of people in the town of Yong chun.
Su Yin Han ( third in the demo below )
Su Yin Han is very close to the Ong Gong Shr style. For much of his life he was secretary of the Wu Shu Guan but subsequently went his own way
Hai Shr Fu ( second in demo below )
A relatively young style which is a mixture of arts trained by the teacher.
Da Yu Wu Shu Guan ( fourth in demo below )
About 5 miles up the hill from the Ong Gong Shr is the village of Da Ya. Their crane is slightly different from ours representing another strain and producing some of the best people in white crane. Their teacher was known as the old man of crane - he was very old. He was a friend of Huang Shr Fu whom I first trained with. There has over the years ( many! ) been an interchange of techniques between the guans , and indeed some people say that this guan was originally doing more Tai Zhu chuen. ( great ancestor ).
